While awaiting a beta-read on my latest novel, I decided to go back to the beginning of my Neuphobes Series and freshen up the first book. Before it Began. In a matter of a couple weeks, I had managed to add some further content to the story, expounding on several of the scenes to make it a more vibrant story. To date, it is my most successful write--but I cannot say that it is my personal favorite. I believe anything I'm currently working on is my "personal favorite". In re-reading the novel, I felt it flat in certain areas where more explanation was necessary, and so through due diligence I went at it, firing up the old imagination once again . . . one had even referred to it as an act of "gilding the lily". I plan to rerelease the book sometime in the spring, perhaps even calling it the extended version for it has grown a good ten-percent in volume.
