With the latest news that our country has just cowered to terrorists, it is just another blaring example of the alarming condition we again find ourselves. The Colonial Pipeline has just paid millions of dollars to a group of Russian terrorists so that the east coast's oil supply could again flow. The pipeline had been disabled for nearly a week and shortages were already being reported in several states. This is a terrifying event for our country to be dealing with. It shows the world that our country, The United States of America, is no longer a Superpower. No longer are we a harbor of safety and freedom. If terrorists were able to achieve such a wicked deed so easily, and gotten away with it, what will their next target be? Our water supply? The electrical grid? Perhaps our military operations centers so that our country lies vulnerable to a nuclear attack? This is a dark day in American history. And what has our country done in response to this? Nothing. They just paid the terrorists the ransom to make it go away. Unfortunately by doing so, they have just invited more of the same to come. And it will. No longer is our country a secure one. Our computerized, modern era, hi-tech society has just been hacked! And what does the current Biden administration plan on doing about it? Most probably ignore it, as they have been with the crisis at our southern border. I most certainly hope and pray that they don't. For if they choose to do nothing, our country will have further proven itself inept and addled, as is evidenced by our current leader.
