Having recently watched the semi-acclaimed film "Yesterday" I came away with the feeling of happiness. Besides the difficulty in understanding just what the characters were discussing in many of their scenes, the premise of the story was excellent. Yet it made me think, and of course again-realize just what masters the Beatles were in their day, and what they would be in today's world of music -- if they were to have still been around. The movie showed me, if not the world, that the Beatles were not just great musicians, but it was their persona in how they played, conveyed their music--and of course having the backing of the genius Brian Epstein to make their careers take off. Beholden to their own, the lyrics were great, but perhaps wouldn't have excelled if not for the music, and the way it was arranged, that such involved lyrics had been set to. Same goes for the music; if not for the great lyrics that accompanied it, then there would not have been such a stirring dynamic.
The Beatles' music had a profound effect on the world, living on strongly unto this day. Never has there been such a profound group of musicians, and never can one have too much of the fab four. The diverse genius of their artistry lives on, and every time I hear one of their songs, it brings back all the great feelings of yester- years. Thank you for the feeling.
